COURSE OBJECTIVES and DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to provide field experience in small business consulting with emphasis on problem solving and the application of business management principles to entrepreneurial firms. This course offers an opportunity for real world experience in consulting and learning about small firms. You will learn a variety of skills — project management, consulting, marketing, applied research, etc. — by conducting a problem solving or opportunity realizing project for a client firm (with the support of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Family Business). The focus of the course is on a team-based written and oral report given and presented to the client.
